Workshops at NewMakeIt
We are excited to announce that a new series of metal clay workshops will be held at NewMakeIt, an innovative makerspace facility in Newmarket, Ontario. Many of the first workshops filled up quickly and new dates have been added. Check out the line-up listed below and stay tuned as more will be scheduled in the future. Precious Wine Glass Charms - Saturday, February 8, 2020 - 10 am to 1 pm
Learn how to make a set of wine glass charms that will add some pizzazz to any gathering! You will make a set of four charms using copper clay and wire.
Sunday, February 9, 2020 - 1 pm to 4 pm
An introductory workshop where you can make a pendant or pair of earrings using fine silver metal clay. You will use a torch to fire the clay and leave the workshop with a shiny piece of jewellery!
Lovely Leaves in Silver - Sunday, February 23, 2020 - 1 pm to 4 pm - CLASS FULL
A Charming Bracelet - Sunday, March 1, 2020 - 1 pm to 4:30 pm
Create your own personalized bracelet with multiple charms made of fine silver metal clay, attached to sterling silver chain.
Fingerprints in Silver - Sunday, March 8, 2020 - 11 am to 2 pm
Make a special charm with your child's fingerprint or create a special gift for someone with yours!
Stone Setting in Metal Clay - Sunday, March 29, 2020 - 11 am to 2 pm
Participants will learn to set a cubic zirconia stone in a fine silver metal clay pendant. This workshop is only open to those who have taken a metal clay workshop or have previous metal clay experience.
Private Lessons & Custom Group Workshops
Private lessons are available throughout the year for individuals and small groups. This is a great way to learn more about metal clay, to learn about a specific technique, or for those who are unable to attend one of our scheduled workshops. Workshops can be organized for small parties and workplace events. Please contact us for rates and more information.
Open Studio Sessions
Open studio sessions are for previous workshop participants or those or have experience with metal clay. For a small fee, participants will have use of tools to help them make their own projects. Supplies (including clay) will be available for purchase at the workshop. Sessions will be available in the near future.
Kiln Firing Service
Kiln firing service for certain metal clays is available for a nominal fee.
