For those that had a peek into the magic of metal clay and want to see a little more, here’s your chance! This workshop will show you another dimension of fine silver metal clay and how you can incorporate heat safe stones such as cubic zirconia into your pieces. You will have a chance to create a small pendant or a pair of earrings with your colour choice of cubic zirconia stones. If time allows, you can torch fire your creation or choose to have it kiln fired after the workshop, to be picked up at a later date.

The cost of the workshop includes a small package of Art Clay Silver metal clay, use of tools for the day, one cubic zirconia stone (or two smaller stones for earrings), and sterling silver findings for a pendant or earrings. Necklace chains are not included, but will be available for purchase at the workshop.

*Please note that this is not a beginner workshop - only open to participants that have taken another workshop or have previous experience with metal clay.  Participants younger than 18 may take the workshop, but will have their piece kiln or torched fired by the instructor.

 

Be sure to register early as this workshop is limited to only 6 registrants. Students that wish to use a butane torch in the workshop must be 18 years or older.

Registrants must tie up long hair and avoid wearing loose long sleeves when torch firing. It is also recommended to wear closed toed shoes. The studio is not responsible for any injuries. Students are welcome to bring in any magnification aids.
