Time - 6:00 - 9:00pm

Ages 18 and up

This short workshop will give you a glimpse into the wonderful world of precious metal clay. If you can play with play dough, you can make jewellery using metal clay! Art Clay Silver is a non-toxic clay made of recycled fine silver particles combined with an organic binder. For this workshop, you will have enough clay to make a small charm for a bracelet or necklace, or a pair of earrings. After forming and finishing the clay, you will use a small butane torch to fire your piece to burn away the organic binder. After firing, you will have a solid piece of 99.9% fine silver jewellery. You will be amazed at the results!

The cost of the workshop includes a small package of Art Clay Silver metal clay, use of tools for the day, and sterling silver findings for a charm or earrings. Sterling silver necklace chains are not included, but will be available for purchase for on the day of the workshop.

Be sure to register early as this class is limited to only 6 registrants. Due to the use of a butane torch, registrants must be 18 years or older. (If you are younger than 18, you may wish to register for the “Charmed by Metal Clay – Youth Workshop” on March 24)
