In this workshop, you will learn how to make a pair of stud earrings using precious metal clay. Art Clay Silver is an eco-friendly, non-toxic clay made of recycled fine silver particles.  After the clay is dried and fired, you will have a solid piece of 99.9% fine silver. In this workshop, you will make the front of the earring using fine silver clay and learn how to attach sterling silver ear posts by using a butane torch.  At the end of the workshop, you will leave with a beautiful, shiny pair of silver earrings.

The cost of the workshop includes enough fine silver clay to make one pair of small earrings, sterling silver ear posts, and the use of tools for duration of the workshop.  

 

Please register early as this class is limited to only 6 registrants.  Due to use of a butane torch, registrants must be 18 years of age or older.

Registrants must tie up long hair and avoid wearing loose long sleeves when torch firing. It is also recommended to wear closed toed shoes. The studio and the library are not responsible for any injuries. Students are welcome to bring in any magnification aids.
