Have you ever wanted to have a keepsake of your child’s fingerprint? Or have you wanted to make a special gift for a loved one with your fingerprint?  If so, this workshop is perfect for you!  In this workshop, you will use non-toxic, eco-friendly clay that contains fine silver particles, which is an ideal medium to capture a fingerprint.  The clay will be shaped into a charm with an option to be engraved with a name or date on the back.    Once the clay is dry, it will be fired by torch or kiln, resulting in a beautiful piece of 99.9% fine silver that you will treasure.

The cost of the workshop includes a small package of Art Clay Silver metal clay for one charm, a sterling silver jump ring, and use of tools for the workshop.  Necklace and bracelet chains are not included, but will be available for purchase at the workshop.     Due to time constraints, the charms will be fired and polished after the workshop, to be picked up at a later time at the library.

 

Be sure to register early as this workshop is limited to only 6 registrants.  The workshop is open for youth over 9 years, or adults bringing a child with them.  It is recommended a child be at least 2 years old for visible fingerprint detail in metal clay.
